3. Shakespeare's Globe, London, UK

The Globe is home to all of the great playwright's performances. Built as a typical Elizabethan theatre, it is absolutely stunning and an experience that should not be missed. Seated tickets have the privilege of being covered. Cheaper (£5) tickets require that audience members stand in the pit in traditional 16th century style.

4. Minack Theatre, Cornwall, UK

"Minack" in Cornish means a rocky place, which is perfect because the Minack theatre is made entirely of stone and is situated right on the sea. It is a very fabulous place to visit or take in a show. The theatre was planned, built and financed by one very ambitious woman, Rowena Cade.

5. Fondazione Arena Di Verona, Verona, Italy

This beautiful collosseum is home to many musical and theatrical performances, including La Traviata, Aida, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Nabucco, La Boheme, Romeo et Juliette, Madame Butterfly, Turandot, Carmen, Il Trovatore, Tosca, and Rigoletto.

6. The Crosby Theatre, Santa Fe Opera, US

The Crosby theatre has won a number of architectural awards for being state-of-the-art. It combines contemporary style with traditional building materials. More than the beauty of the theatre itself, guests can also enjoy breathtaking panoramic views, with the Jemez Mountains to the west and the Sangre de Cristo to the east.
