If you walk around any city centre late at night then you will see long queues of party-goers trying their luck to get into the latest exclusive nightspots that known to be extremely difficult to enter, unless you are in the know, possessing lots of cash or ideally both.
The key to be taken seriously is to look and act the part. You are never going to get into the club with a dirty face and missing teeth. You need to ensure that you are turned out perfectly, so when the man on the door gives you the once over he wont turn you away on your ear.
Preparation. This is the key to looking just right when you roll up to that nightclub everyone ahs been talking about. Give yourself plenty of time to prepare, rather than throwing on any old garment. You need to make sure that you are decked out in a formal high-end shirt, designer trousers and decent shoes. People often get the shirt and trousers right but overlook the shoes. This is a big mistake, the man on the door will always check out your shoes. Get your hair done properly and styled. I know it can be more difficult to sort out that your hair but turning up with whiter than white teeth will certainly impress. So if you are the type of guy who likes to wear tacky large gold rings and piercings then I am afraid you are going to have to remove them.
A decent timepiece. To get yourself up on the social status whilst you are in the queue for the new trendy club, get yourself a decent watch. I don't mean swapping your cheap digital for a gold-plated watch. To make a good impression try a classic Submariner. If you cannot afford these watches as they do run into the thousands then go for something that stands out. You can get many designer watches these days that certainly look the part and are a fraction of the price of a Submariner.
Confidence. It's no use turning up the club with your fancy clothes and designer watch if you have low confidence. For me this is the secret weapon in gaining entry into the top clubs. If you can charm the doorman then you have good chance of getting in and staying in. I would advise you not to turn up with a bunch of people also. Doormen do not like large groups of people trying to get in at the same time. Ideally go in separately from your friends or go in pairs, make sure though that they are also kitted out in their top garb, otherwise you would have gone to all the effort for nothing.
