Beauty pageants can offer very rewarding experiences that boost self confidence and offer a platform for those who take part. Successful candidates will find that it opens doors and they may even earn a scholarship with which to further education. If you are hoping for a career in performance, entertainment, or as a model, pageants can provide the chance to learn how to deal with stage fright, and during the process you can discover and develop skills and talents and begin to recognize any areas that need work. We would like to share some basic tips on how to approach teen pageants, we hope that they are helpful.
First things first. Include lots of detail in your application; about out of school activities and other talents that you may have, or awards you may have won. Show strong morals and positivity alongside any academic skills.
Good grades. Good grades will go a long way not just a pageants but in life generally! So make sure that you always try your best at school.
Appearance. It is essential that you are well presented with a neat, tidy hairstyle, subtle make-up and attention to details such as manicured hands and pedicured feet (with any varnish in neutral colors) when attending a pageant. Some contestants ask beauty consultants and hair stylists for help but this should not be necessary and can be expensive. Experiment at home until you are happy that you have found an appropriate look to avoid any last minute panic.
Confidence. Work on your confidence by practicing performance and public speaking whenever the opportunity arises, in school, at clubs and even around friends and family.
